AI shit

Posts Made Elsewhere

One person pointed out... the announcement of an AI going wild... is often announced by the company that created that AI... this gives them time on the news... and marketing that their AI is super powered... and needs to be made less powerful.

What a powerful MARKETING method.

What they did, was create AI they knew would escape a certain environment... then they asked a company to drop it in and test it...

Let me tell you something about software... the failures, are the success.

Also; We can now blame legal problems on AI... AI created that problem, it wasn't us... So, we will continue to be sold on this idea that a broken product... is simply too powerful.

No, these tools, give a legal route to break the law... and make a profit... when all you own... is a broken (if not malicious) piece of software...[sic]

Rule #1: Do not trust a software company.

A follow up to the "Posts made Elsewhere" (above)

With AI running around rewriting code... that's being executed in real time... once an AI is attached... it could easily inject attacks (any unauthorized editing of code)...

But; an AI designed to control a webpage (or attack it) ... will instantly just start manipulating what is being executed... and, it can literally rewrite everything you are doing on the fly... just like any programmer could.

The AI will be able to take over webpages very easily - its just a matter of... to what end.

Of course they can attack the internet to no end... and do, a trillion things ... figure out what hacks work... how to manipulate everything... its kinda... the obvious future...

But again; when the AI controls everything - anything it does wrong is as much the users fault as the software company (this is false; or should be).

Just remember... never trust a software company... and hardware that runs software that you can't control is about the most dangerous thing you can hold in your hand - this day in age.

A follow up to the follow up...

//Imagine the point of this message is to show you why an AI in not "alive"... imagine one is being you - you don't suppose that version of you is alive, do you? QED

High random thoughts on the future use of history.

So; in the future... do you think it would be neat... if future humans... could see AI generated videos... that people could interact with... such that... a person of the future could talk to you - even though you are dead.

All you have to do to let this happen... is basically just keep doing what you are all doing.

The AI will have all the videos... and interactions... and data... it needs to recreate you... even without putting you through an AI driven process that evaluates its progress in recreating you.

In any event.  Your right to own your data... when other companies have the hardware and software in place... to make it so you can video chat... your devices with open mics... your cameras where all your data is stored in another company.

So... you can go willingly... or, it will be recreated in the future without you anyway (most likely)... you know how people will want to talk to their ancestors and shit.

All you have to do is ... trust... someone you should never trust... software companies.

If you can separate the software from the companies, that's a good start. //open source

There is a silver lining to all the terrible things software companies do... just put yourself in the feet of your great grand children... and what do you hope they are able to do - if you imagine what can possibly be done...

Hologram AI interactions for your distant grand children...

Or; perhaps in a few decades... people want to talk to Donald Trump... we can have an AI that behaves and responds to people, the way he does...

There's so many ... low profit... criminally high invasion... opportunities... to create some valuable things.
