You think your money is valuable right now; money, especially these days - can become relatively worthless quite quickly... as far as a static amount of capital sitting around.
You may notice that wealthy people and the government ... for every dollar they print, and every dollar they launder and steal ... makes your pile of money worth that much less.
If your money cannot keep up with how fast we print money... and how fast illegal (black) money becomes legal money.
You can easily see this over time... if you don't keep up with the change in the value of money... the large pile you have sitting around, can quickly become relatively worthless.
